We’re excited to introduce you to yet another inspiring mompreneur and her sweet-as-can-be baby girl. Amanda Freeman is the founder and CEO of the boutique fitness studio brand SLT and single mama to 11-month-old Flynn. And let us be the first to say that Amanda is truly amazing. She’s taken her passion for wellness and translated it into successful careers as a trend forecaster and an online publishing entrepreneur and, ultimately, a thriving fitness studio owner.
Today Amanda is graciously sharing a peek inside Flynn’s modern eclectic girls nursery and answering a few of our favorite nursery design questions. And while we just can’t get over the gorgeous, statement-making accent wallpaper, well, that smiling baby girl? She gets all the heart eyes.
What inspired your nursery design?
I wanted a room that looked appropriate for a baby, but wasn’t baby-specific. I found a wallpaper I was obsessed with that was sophisticated but not too much of a girly pattern to design the room around. The wallpaper is very colorful and bright, so I wanted everything else to be muted whites and grays.

What was your favorite part of the process?
Selecting the wallpaper was my favorite part of designing the room—and the most stressful part, too! It is the focal point, so everything else was selected to complement it. I’m thrilled to say I love seeing it every time I walk into Flynn’s room. I also enjoyed picking out the crib and dresser. DucDuc has many color combinations as well as custom options, and I spent several months making that choice.
