Today we’re touring the modern eclectic nursery that fashion designer Hunter Bell designed for her sweet daughter Harrison. As you can imagine, Hunter’s background in the fashion world translated into the most gorgeous nursery design, full of bright colors and bold patterns that are layered to perfection. It’s exactly what you’d expect from Hunter, the winner of Fashion Star and the founder and creative director of her eponymous women’s contemporary fashion line, and we think you’re going to love what she created for her lucky little girl.
What inspired your nursery design?
The idea of creating a nursery that didn’t feel so young is what inspired me. Ultimately, I just wanted to purchase items I knew would grow with my daughter over time. The Kilim rug was the starting point, and incorporating my husband’s grandmother’s artwork was the finishing touch.

What was your favorite part of the process? And what do you love the most about the finished design?
As a fashion designer, I love different channels of creativity—starting with a clean slate excites me! This project was so much fun. The nursery is an illustration of my personality and brand. My clothing line reflects color and print, and this room displays that.

Hi – I just love the dresser (from Land of Nod) and considering purchasing it. There are few reviews of it online and would appreciate your own impression of it. In particular, how have you liked the handles? They look difficult to use/open, as well as hard to clean (as they are essentially holes for grubby hands). Thanks!

May I ask where the beautiful bright crib bedding is from?
