It’s my favorite time of year, and I’m a sucker for it all: the holiday music, the smell of fir and fire, the lights, decor, Christmas cards, and yes, even our friend from Elf on the Shelf, who got a girlfriend this year! We had to up our game and add a fresh twist for my elfing-sanity. Although I have to admit, I do punish myself by bringing him out too early.
One of my favorite holiday traditions is finding Christmas pajamas for the kids. As a child, I remember having special Christmas pajamas, and now I love passing on the tradition to my own children. We are in the group that wears them all season, but I know several families who wait and have them under the tree on Christmas Eve or morning. In case you’re still on the hunt for your holiday sleepwear, I’ve rounded up some of my favorites this year in different styles, sizes and themes!
Monogrammed Pajamas. Everything needs a monogram, especially if it’s in glitter and during the holidays. Nursery Couture has these amazing, super-soft pajamas this year and offers custom glitter monograms in silver or gold.
Family Pajamas. Disclaimer: this is my brother and sister-in-law in the picture below, and I absolutely admire the ability of my sweet sister-in-law to get her husband to not only wear matching snowman pajamas, but to top it off glitter with reindeer antlers! Because that’s true love, people. Check out Chasing Fireflies to find Christmas pajamas for the whole family—they always have a huge selection.
Or you can check out Pajamagram—they even offer holiday options for your furry family members!
Personalized Pajamas. I love the idea of choosing personalized pajamas for each kiddo based on his or her interests! What a fun way to reminisce about their little obsessions throughout the year. I wonder if Santa would approve of mine saying, “I heart WINE”? Just a thought.

Character-Themed Pajamas. Join jolly old Saint Nick in red and white, or copy the new holiday star with Elf on the Shelf pajamas! Kohl’s has an amazing selection of adorable elf jammies. And if you haven’t yet introduced Santa’s secret helper, how cute would it be to have him gift the kids with coordinating outfits on his first visit?
Is finding the perfect Christmas pajamas for your little ones—or for the whole family—one of your holiday traditions?
