Thanksgiving is probably one of my most favorite holidays—okay, maybe I say this about every holiday! Since having kids of my own, our Thanksgiving feast has taken on a whole new meaning (and decibel level) of its own, and we officially have a kids table in our home!
I still have fond memories of being at the kids table with all of my cousins, and creating a cute kids Thanksgiving tablescape may be even more fun for me now than sitting at one as a kid. But, I’d like to think you can create a cute kids table that’s still a bit elegant and sophisticated to go with the rest of your Thanksgiving decor, so today I’m sharing a few pictures of my kids table Thanksgiving tablescape!
For this kids table, I went with a rustic/fall feel. I used a circular burlap tablecloth to anchor the look.
The plates and silverware are from last year’s PBK Thanksgiving line (I scored them on sale just after the holiday was over last year). They are so sweet, and each plate says a different thing to be thankful for, which I love. I used my old standby glass milk bottles, tied burlap twine around each one and put a leaf-print paper straw inside.
The turkey-shaped felt placemats are from Jo-Ann Fabrics and the favor “poppers” are from Cost Plus World Market. I always think it’s a good idea to give the kids something entertaining to play with or do during the feast since their little attention spans usually can’t last the whole meal. I also have Thanksgiving coloring sheets for them to do and found these adorable twig colored pencils at Cost Plus World Market.
I found these natural linen “give thanks” napkins on a flash sale on One Kings Lane and decided they were the perfect complement to the the burlap and felt.
I used these pilgrim placecards from Meri Meri and hand wrote each child’s name on it.
And there you have it—a cute yet sophisticated kids table for your Thanksgiving feast! Have a happy Thanksgiving!
