Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working on a nursery design in Los Angeles for a client with a baby boy on the way. She didn’t want to do anything too thematic, but she loves night sky scenes with sparkling stars and constellations. We came up with a creative way to bring constellations and a gorgeous night sky concept into the space, but you’ll have to wait to see the full design reveal!
In the meantime, we researched constellation nursery decor so we would have some options to show our client, and along the way, we realized just how beautiful this theme is. It may seem inherently masculine because of the prominence of navy blues, but it could certainly work for a girl too. Here are some of our favorite nursery accents inspired by constellations!
We can always count on The Land of Nod to have adorable lighting, and they didn’t fail us in our search for constellation nursery decor. This lamp shade has a bear constellation cut into it so when the lamp is turned on, the light glows through the pattern.

We love anything that feels personalized in a nursery, which is why we love this zodiac art print. This beauty is pressed with real gold foil, giving it an impressive sheen. And if your little one isn’t a Sagittarius, the whole zodiac collection is available.

Not all constellation or zodiac decor has to be blue! This collection of zodiac throw pillows is full of bright color and fun. Each one has a colorful and unique image to go along with its specific zodiac sign.

Another great piece of artwork is this adorable whale constellation print that we found on Society6.

There is such a variety of items out there ranging from bold and masculine to soft and whimsical. We’re thrilled to have a little taste of this constellation nursery decor in the room we’re working on, and we can’t wait to share it with our Project Nursery audience!
