You know, even after completing over 100 design projects for nurseries and children’s rooms, it’s still a challenge to find just the right artwork for each space we create. That’s no surprise to us because artwork is so very personal. One thing we’ve used time and again, that’s absolutely not a trend, is nursery word art—it’s truly timeless. It has been stylish for many years, and it’s still holding very strong, especially when it comes to cute, colorful and appropriately sentimental prints for nurseries.
We love this ABC Love print for several reasons. The alphabet is a no-brainer for a child’s room, the way the word “love” is highlighted is just adorable, and the color scheme would work nicely for boys, girls and gender-neutral rooms alike.

The dreamy backdrop of this Love, L’Amour, L’Amore print is calming, serene and downright beautiful. We love the overall look and feel of this piece and think it would be especially perfect in a modern nursery setting.

This Bonne Nuit print is a favorite for both of us. We love how this piece has some eye-catching shine while still being quite simple and elegant. Plus, the versatility is unbeatable. There really isn’t a design style, gender or color scheme in which this print wouldn’t work beautifully.

If finding just the right text proves too great a challenge, a gold foil birth announcement would be a great choice. The illustrations on this print are just beautiful, and we love the idea of hanging a birth announcement in a nursery or even displaying it as a transitional piece in a big kid’s room.

Are you as enamored with nursery word art as we are? What words and phrases did you choose to display in your baby’s room?
