Party Reveal: Beside the Seaside First Birthday

The warm weather always puts me in a beach state of mind and makes me think wistfully of being out on the sand celebrating whatever occasion is at hand. Zoe, a client of mine, threw a wonderfully modern and beautiful Beside the Seaside birthday party for her daughter that inspires a trip to the seashore without having to step out your front door.

The party was full of all sorts of fun crafty food. I am in love with these “octopops.” They are just wildly creative. Just as cute are the oyster shells with pearls and the tray full of “scallops.”

Isn’t the ruffly feminine cake just divine? The pearls and sparkly seaweed up the sides are so darling! It looks great set off by the seahorse sugar cookies and anemone cupcakes.

If you have seen any of my party reviews, you know I’m a sucker for crafty party mamas. The simple repetition of the fans in different patterns in shades of the same color is a little burst of visual bliss. My very favorite element in this party is the bouquet of party hats—if that doesn’t scream let’s celebrate, I don’t know what does!

It’s a party perfect for any summer day—a job fantastically done, so breezy and beachy. Thank you to Milk and Honey for the lovely photographs.

Everything looks really lovely. Makes me want to have a sea-themed party in pink, too.
