Innovative Baby Products

I am always on the hunt for what’s new or different in the baby industry, and when I find really cool, innovative baby products, I must share. So here are some of my favorite new finds that you must check out.

I was recently introduced to Little Cord Art, a cool company founded by a cool and interesting husband and wife team. The concept is very different. Little Cord Art makes custom artwork by photographing the cell structure of a newborn’s umbilical cord through a microscope. The result is a colorful, impressionist-style work of art, and because no two cords are alike, every piece they create is one-of-a-kind. I thought it was such a creative way to celebrate the connection between mother and child and a tasteful way for parents to preserve a piece of their child’s umbilical cord. What a fabulous gift for someone special.

2. Project Nursery has already introduced you to BabyList, but I just explored it myself recently. With one simple download to your computer or iPad, you now have the ability to create a baby registry from all of your favorite sites. You no longer have to be limited to just one store; you can select items from all your favorite online boutiques. Check out my inspiration registry here.

3. Imaginebaby created a brilliant product that every parent will render smart and useful. The Shade is a new and innovative way to protect baby while in an infant car seat from the outside elements such as sun, wind, rain, snow and bugs. It also provides a shaded place for undisturbed napping while on the go. The fabric is soft to the touch and has water-wicking capabilities that cause it to dry quickly. The Shade has an excellent rating of UPF 50+, protecting baby from the sun’s harmful UVA/UVB rays.

4. In today’s world, we are always looking for better, smarter ways to protect ourselves and our babies, especially when we are pregnant. Belly Armor is a resource for expecting mothers to protect their children against the harmful effects of everyday radiation by providing easy-to-use products and the latest information on health risks. Products like the Belly Blanket help protect your stomach from radiation while using products like your laptop. Love it. So smart.

Little Cord Art seems to be a very interesting innovation. I didn’t even know there are two cord cells that look alike! Wish I knew about this before!

WOW! I had to check the Little Cord Art site and it’s amazing! Different shapes and different colors. too. These artworks are really perfect on white, pristine walls because they really pop out and nobody would even think it’s an umbilical cord cell up close.

Hmn… a blanket that protects the unborn baby from the effects of radiation? Are there really a lot of babies that were born with conditions that resulted from radiation due to their mothers’ use of laptops and cellphones? Just really curious about this.

The Cord Art is such an ingenious idea! Makes me wish I saved my babies’ umbilical cords!
