Pool Party Playdate Essentials!

It’s that time of year! I love the summer months. Not only is it my family’s (yes all of us!) birthday season, it’s also time for spending beautiful weekends by the pool with family and friends. To get you in the mood, I want to share some essentials for a pool party playdate that the whole family, including the little ones, will love.

First, choose summery colors in fun, modern patterns and use them in your party decorations as well as other fun accents like towels, napkins and flowers.

Next, select foods that are fun and yummy for all. We chose a lemon meringue pie, Rice Krispie treats, popcorn and Italian sodas.

Oh, and we can’t forget cupcakes! The perfect sized dessert for little mouths.

Fun parasols to help shade guests and create a little fun are a must. Hit up places like World Market and Target for fabulous, fun finds like these.

Lastly, add comfy pillows for your weary little guests to use towards the end of the day.

So, who is ready for a little fun in the sun and some pool time with friends?!

Those parasols are just too cute. Not to mention that they protect your kids too!

One of the best things about summer is the burst of colors! I just love it that you have bright little things around the pool to match the energy of the little ones!

These pictures are just too adorable :) I think that you could also set up colorful umbrellas all around the pool and make sure that an adult is always on standby to watch over the kids. Pools and kids just don’t mix in my opinion.

I agree and love these colors together!

    BriskRain,

Pictures can be a little deceiving sometimes. These are to inspire inspiration but if you step back a little further with the camera then you could see the actual security gate that goes all the way around it thank heavens! I agree pools and kids are dangerous and you always need an adult around!
