BabyBjörn Travel Crib Light 2: Perfect for Your Summer Travels

Summer’s officially here! Have you made your family’s vacation plans yet? Last summer, we were all set to take our nearly two-year-old son on his first hotel outing. I know many hotels offer cribs, but…I wasn’t ready to put my kiddo in one of those. I needed something I could trust. So I searched for something that would be easy to travel with and work for my toddler. When I say searched, I mean searched—I think I looked at pretty much every portable crib on the market. Once I found the highly recommended BabyBjörn Travel Crib Light 2, my search was over.

It had everything I needed. Weighing in at 11lbs and packing up neatly in its case, the Travel Crib isn’t a burden to carry or pack. And best of all, it can be used from birth to around three years of age (depending on the height of your child). Many other traditional pack and plays have a fairly low weight limit and aren’t really big enough for a toddler to stretch out in. But with our Travel Crib Light, my son, now almost three, used it just last weekend.

I also love the way the crib is built. Its footprint is larger than the top of the crib, which makes it more stable and less likely to tip. Even with a standing, walking and bouncing toddler in there, I felt he was safe.

The BabyBjörn Travel Crib Light’s assembly is simple. Truly simple. It has none of those extra pieces that you sometimes forget, and you don’t have to remember which piece you have to push down first. If you don’t believe me, watch this video of the crib being assembled in less than 30 seconds.

After my second son was born this past February, I set up the BabyBjörn Travel Crib Light right in my living room. I loved having a safe spot to put the baby downstairs—you know, with that big brother bouncing around and all. The baby even took many of his daytime naps in it. It was nice not having to bring him upstairs to his crib, and it let me keep a close eye on him during the newborn phase.

Now we’re headed off to the grandparents for a visit, and I’ve already got my trusty BabyBjörn Travel Crib Light packed and ready to go.

This is a really cool crib. Definitely a nice thing to have if you love going out on picnics, traveling, camping, etc.

Looks really practical. Hope it’s really safe and secure, though. I really hate hearing news of product recalls.

This would make a perfect baby shower gift! I wonder how much this costs..
