Tangerine and Teal

I just love scrolling through the pictures of all the gorgeous nurseries in Project Nursery’s gallery, and I always find myself drooling over the rooms that radiate color and creativity! I’m a sucker for color, especially when you take two colors that might not be considered otherwise and combine them into a beautiful masterpiece. My current favorite color combination? Tangerine and teal (with some fuchsia thrown in for good measure).

This year, Pantone named Tangerine Tango as the color of the year. If you walk into any of your favorite stores these days, you’ll see the color on everything from shoes to nail polish, and home decor is no different! This luscious citrus color is everywhere! The Pantone Color Guide is like the bible of all colors, and if you’ve never put your hands on one, it’s like a brand new box of Crayola Crayons for grownups.

We are gearing up to launch our brand new IKAT Collection for Caden Lane, and apparently, we were right on trend with our color selections! So, here’s a sneak peek at our new girl fabrics and some funky and fun decor pieces that would win nursery of the year in my book.

1. Star Egg Nightlight 2. This Fabric Storage Container adds just the right amount of chevron to coordinate with the bedding. 3. The Mermaid Dream Ring would be adorable as a mobile or wall decor. 4. I love these scalloped bunting flags; several strands would be stunning over the crib or changing table! 5. Caden Lane IKAT fabrics from their new crib and big kid bedding collection 6. This comfy Parlour Chair adds the perfect pop of tangerine. 7. If you’re feeling really creative, a quick coat of paint and some sand paper turns an old dresser into a masterpiece of color.
