Rocking chairs in lieu of gliders in nurseries seems to be all the rage now. The trend has gained some steam with vintage pieces like the piece below, which was reupholstered.

The chrome versions are relatively hard to find, but you can find vintage bentwood Thornet pieces like the one below on eBay and Craigslist. Replicas are very affordable, but the originals will run you upwards of $1500 for a vintage piece. (I think my parents had one of these for me when I was little, wish I could find a photo!)
Comfy upholstered rockers are another nice option as seen in the room below designed by Sherry Hart.
Here are a few favorite rockers of mine in an array of styles:

This is exactly what I’m doing in my nursery! I don’t like the gliders, but I have a big upholstered rocker (like the Sherry Hart one pictured) with a matching ottoman that were my grandmothers. They are my go-to reading spot now, but will become my go-to baby rocking spot!

So many beautiful rockers in your last photo! I love how comfortable rockers are and how relaxing their movements can be. Sitting on the rocker in my room takes the stress away after a hard day’s work.

Rockers no. 5, 7 and 9 are absolutely gorgeous! I am such a sucker for white upholstered furniture, and these rockers look really neat.

Every nursery needs a rocking chair.

Not the style of rocker I want. I’ve been looking for a vintage shabby chic rocker myself.

Those Monte rockers are gorgeous. I must have one.
