I love the new trend in modern nursery looks! I’m getting ready to decorate my boy’s nursery and I want to do something sophisticated like this, but with more dramatic lighting. I recently found a lot of great modern and vintage chandeliers from AnnaBean and I think pairing a vintage lighting piece in a clean, sophisticated nursery would create a unique textured look in the room.

Hi Melisa: I couldn’t figure out what she did to the ceiling in that first picture. It’s rare that you see that kind of treatment to ceilings, and it’s beautiful!

Sarah really has some refreshing ideas here and on her site. I also like how she takes classic color combinations like blue and orange and create something new. Sophisticated and bold, yet the clean lines are evident. The ceiling, Jane, is wallpapered :) I guess you just need to find a great wallpaper to cover your ceiling.
