Giveaway: Playroom Inspiration From LON

There’s nothing like a playroom to bring on the arts and crafts! Unfortunately, not all of us are lucky enough to have an entire room to dedicate for playtime but the good news is, you don’t need one. A small area in the home ideally located in the family room or just off the kitchen is really all the space your kids need and you require to keep an eye on them! In fact, I recently determined that it was time to make our formal dining room a little less formal and much more functional. I then took my existing breakfast nook and converted it into a playroom – best move ever!

whiteactivitytableplayroom

So when shopping for playroom products on the web, our first stop at Little Apple Design is always The Land of Nod…And not just for furniture but for wonderful inspiration!  Sure ample toy storage and a kids table are key for any play area but designating the space with your child’s art or creating inexpensive art of your own is just what you need to add a bit of playroom fun! Here’s how you can do it with a few LON faves….

Paper pom-poms are all the rage in some mommy circles so check out LON’s crafty “Loves Me, Loves Me Not Flower Making Kit“. Why not craft a few flower bouquets with your little girl for display? Hang them from eye-hooks and fishing line from the ceiling or fill recycled vases.

It’s holiday time but garlands can be used year round or inexpensively updated with the seasons. Kick the construction paper rings up a notch with flags or fun phrases. This holiday, try the warm mittens from the “Kids Felt Holiday Garlands” collection.

Now, you can spruce up your kid’s play area by winning both the Kids Flower Making Kit Toy and Mitten Felt Holiday Garland from The Land of Nod.

WIN IT: By commenting on this post with your favorite LON decor ideas from their fabulous website . Contest ends Monday, November 16th, 2009 at 11:59pm PST.

Like you said LON is truly an inspiration – seen the table with storage in so many ad’s, deco ideas and true homes. Love it

This one is easy….the accordian peg racks has always been my favorite. Purchased the pink one 6 years ago to hang in my daughters room to display and hang her purses, coats, and sweaters….then painted it white when my son was born for his baseball hats and jackets. The best thing is that it doubles as “art” for a large wall and very affordable!

We are lucky enough to have the space in our house for a playroom. Our formal living room isn’t a space we’d use so we turned it into a playroom…it’s a work in progress but its always a hit and we spend a lot of time in there!

They have so many great design ideas it’s hard to pick just one but I love how affordable their stuff is compared to their “competitor!” Just wish there was a store in AZ! And the fun names for their products makes it even better to shop!
