Kingsley’s Kingdom

Description

Although I am having a boy, I still wanted my nursery to be pretty.  I spent a lot of time researching and collecting inspiration, like 8 months worth!  This is the result.

Design Inspiration

One of the very first things that I found and fell in love with was the bunny duvet and bunny pillow.  From there I built the room somewhat around that.

Decorating Style

My decorating style is very modern in the rest of my home, although I did not want that for my babies nursery.  I had always envisioned a more whimsical, pretty, cozy nursery to bring the baby home to.

Advice

Start researching for your nursery very early so that you have plenty of time to put it all together without feeling stressed to get it done right before your baby arrives!  You can do it all in stages and it will feel much less overwhelming.

Hi Katie! I'm SO sorry, I just discovered your message! So, this maybe a little too late, in which case I'm truly sorry! The frames are from Hobby Lobby and the actual artwork is by Trafalgar Square on Etsy. They have darling illustrations! The rocking horse was a gift I received at one of my baby showers so I don't have that information. Best of luck to you and again so sorry for the extremely late reply!! Allison

Hi Allison,

I see that your due date has passed, and I hope you are enjoying motherhood! Your nursery is one of the first I have seen that truly is gender neutral but absolutely beautiful at the same time. Would you mind telling me where you go the framed animal prints from and the little giraffe rocking horse? Thank you for your help and many blessings on your new addition!

Hi there! Beautiful job. I ordered most of my furnishings via Restoration Hardware Baby & Child, and am just working on the finishing touches. So funny as I bought the same pillow (or similar) from Pom very early on!

Do you recall which bedding set from Restoration you ordered? Tough to tell if it's green (seafoamish/sky) or actually blue.

I'm also wondering about the beautiful frames that your artwork is in! Where did you find those?
