Before you can blink, wink or think, Valentine’s Day will be here, and we’ll be digging through the holiday section on February 13th searching for the perfect love notes for our tiny tot’s class crush! Well, not this year… Here are two reasons you are going to love this DIY project! You don’t need to wait until the last minute to make them, and store bought notes are so boring! Today I’m sharing the easy steps to make the most darling Valentine’s Day class treats, along with the free printables—all you have to do is add the candy!
Materials: Valentine’s Day printables (4 cards per 8.5″ x 11″ sheet; each cut card is 3″ x 4″), cello bags, candy that matches the theme of your cards, 1.5″ circle punch or heart punch
These free Valentine’s Day printables (Ball Jars, Conversation Hearts, Gumball Machines or Worm Jars) are definitely going to capture the heart of your little one’s crush! And the treat bags are quick, easy and cute! First, download the printable of your choice, and print it out on cardstock. I usually set my printer to print on the highest quality settings for matte photo paper. Next, cut out the cards and punch out the areas in gray where it says “punch here.” If you don’t have a punch, you can cut them out with scissors. Slip the cards into cello bags with the candy of your choice and seal! Swap out candy pictured with treats suitable for your child’s age group.
This last printable is a fold over treat bag topper. Fill a cello bag with candy, fold the printed tag over the top of the bag and staple closed. These treat bag toppers measure 3″ x 1″ when complete.
Aren’t these Valentine’s Day class treats so simple and cute? You could even make a few extras and hand them out as teacher gifts! Have a happy Valentine’s Day!
