It’s a Small World After All

More and more we have parents asking us to incorporate world maps and globes into their children’s rooms. Whether it’s to introduce our world to their little ones or to incorporate a sense of wanderlust, we love finding innovative ways to fulfill this request no matter what the style of the room.

This warm-toned Small World Ottoman, from Restoration Hardware, is both comfortable and educational.

This structured ottoman, romantic in style, subtly incorporates a world map on the top.

We love the variety of textures and patterns in this creative wallpaper mural interpretation of the map.

This bright map pillow would add a pop of color to a room, and it’s large enough to be used for seating as well as decoration.

For a more retro feel, we prefer the use of a map lampshade—you can light up the room with the world.

And lastly, what better way to welcome your little one than with five replicas of this wonderful world they just entered in this lovely globe mobile.

Happy travels!

Love those ottomans. But I bet that round one would look much nicer if it’s got brighter colors.

I think the map lampshade’s just gorgeous! I just love maps and everything that shows me there’s so much of the world I haven’t seen yet.

Maps really have an old-world charm to them. Seeing maps like the one on the lampshade reminds me of the time of Magellan and Christopher Columbus.
