DIY: Party Lantern

I’m always looking for simple ways to change up typical party decorations. Take the paper lantern—such an inexpensive party accessory that can add visual interest to any set-up. I came across this darling DIY project on the blog, You had me at bonjour, and just had to share it with you!

Using a plain, white paper lantern, scraps of fabric and a glue gun, you can quickly update this into one fabulous decoration!

A little cutting, a little sewing (or gluing), and a touch of patience will produce this darling bunting-covered lantern! And this would be darling not only for a party but also hanging in your nursery! Visit You had me at bonjour for the full instructions.

What a great idea, I love the little pattern flags around the latern. My wife and I will have to try this for our twin boys’ nursery!

I thought there’d also be a tutorial on how to make the lantern. It looks so simple, but I never quite figured out how to make one.
