Vintage Surf Baby Shower

Vintage Surf is a popular theme appearing in baby and kid rooms everywhere! Inspired by an old surfboard of her husband’s, Molly is decorating her soon-to-arrive son’s room in this hip theme. Her sister is planning her shower and asked me to design coordinating paper goods! This is a trend that we’re seeing more and more of in the party world. Coordinating baby shower decor to the baby room, and even the baby annoucements! Molly’s sister chose a blue, red & chocolate brown design that I came up with, featuring a “woody” illustration!

 

I love the red and blue color combination, perfect for a little boy! The possibilities are endless for dessert and candy bar ideas in this theme! Etsy provides for tons of adorable gift ideas in theme including bibs, burp cloths & even a diaper cake! (see below for list of sources)

You could also go with a more traditional green & blue color scheme for a surf baby shower. I love the hand painted letters shown below. You could hang them at the shower, and then the mommy-to-be could use in the nursery after!
