We just moved into our new house and found out we were expecting about a year later.  We had renovated the whole house and were so excited to redo a bedroom into a nursery!  For our son we wanted a modern yet playful design that didn’t scream “baby!” so it could grow with him as he grew and we wouldn’t have to update it right away.  Every time I sit in his nursery to feed him I feel happy and fulfilled.  It’s exactly as I could have imagined.

I love this nursery! I completely agree that it’s one that could grow with the child and isn’t overly babyish, but is still appropriate for baby. The light fixture is perfect. The letters are really cool – where are those from?

I absolutely love the light fixture I can’t seem to find it on Shades of Light’s website. Did that fixture have a certain name?

      Shea Lavander,

      Yes, it was called Sputnik!

There are two sizes. The one I used is the smaller version.

I really like the touch of playfulness you gave this room. I like the patterns, the colors, the unique light, and those really fun alphabet letters on the wall.

The ceiling looks great. Can you share the yellow paint color?

Sure. The yellow is Hawthorne Yellow by Benjamin Moore.
