My youngest daughter was just about to transition out of her crib and into her big girl bed like her older sister. They were both growing up so fast I wanted to give them a bedroom makeover that encompassed everything they loved to do at this stage in their life. Playing dress up, having tea parties and of course being a fairy princess. I sat down with my older daughter who is 4 and we put together the most awesome To do list of anything our little minds could come up with. Riding unicorns and flying to the moon! One of my wants was for them to be able to sleep under the stars every night so I made a cloudy sky above their bed and hung gold glittered stars everywhere. I tried to incorporate as many aspects of our little to do list into their bedroom. The custom bedding represented the swimming with Mermaids, we put in a little Fairy nook so the fairies could come in and dance with them. I used butterflies through out the room so they could chase them where ever they went. Their absolute favorite thing to do thought is play dress up so that was my main focus. I gave them their own little vanity with play makeup and a dress up bin that they could easily access all their favorite pieces and they had to have a place for all those shoes. They love their room so much and I had the greatest time designing it for them.

Brittany
Where are the beds from? ?
Emily
What did you use for the clouds? Such a cute idea!!
JaeForsythe
Brittany, the beds are called Raliegh and are made by Kidkraft. If you google that a few sites will come up that you can purchase from. Emily, the clouds are just a mixture of tissue paper poms and paper lanterns. I hung them from fishing line and thumb tacked them into the ceiling. :)
Amber
Shelves are diy?
JaeForsythe
Amber, yes. Shelves along with the vanity were cut to the size needed and I painted them. The brackets are from Hobby Lobby, originally black and I spray painted them gold. :)
Marianna
I absolutely love LOVEEEE this room!!! Such a cute idea! I have 2 little girls (3 & 5 y/o) and I am expecting my 3rd. My 2 girls will be sharing a room when the baby comes and I’d like to do something special for them. I stumbled across this on IG and I fell in love! I had a question…where did you purchase the netting for the fairy nook and the gold canvas canvas saying “smile, Sparkle, and Shine”?
JaeForsythe
Marianna, the netting I actually scored at a yard sale one day for $3 :) And then added all the extra pretties. I know that Ikea sells a similar one in size though that isn’t very expensive. The gold canvas was found at Home Goods, it was on clearance so you might not be able to find it anymore.
Meghan
This room is adorable! I have been looking for some inspiration for my daughter’s room and she would love this! Where did you find the Daydreamer and Party Animal pillows? Also, did you make the wall art on the shelves? They are so cute!
Stephanie
Hello where the carpet from?
JaeForsythe
Meghan, the pillows are from Shutterfly. If you look in the vendor section of my post you will find a link to all the resources I used for the room.
Stephanie, the carpet is from Ikea. :)
marianna
Hi again! Hate to be a pest, but where are the chairs from?
Denise
Hi, your little girls room is truly amazing.
Did u use different sizes of Pom poms and lanterns? Also colours? Thank u
Chenay
Love the room. Its amazing! Can you please tell me where that Chair is from?
JaeForsythe
Marianna & Chenay, the chair was found at Home Goods. Denise the poms and lanterns are all different sizes yes and are all shades of white but the coloring is a little different. I ordered the poms from Papermart.com and the lanterns I already had in my party stash of supplies.
Bridgit Schmidt
Love the room! You’ve done great! What color is the paint on the walls?
Edlynn
I love the room, i would love to know if you purchased tue beds customized with the girls names or did you do it yourself?
JaeForsythe
Bridgit- Thank you :) The paint color is Moonlight Mauve by Behr, sold at Home Depot. I mixed in 2 packets of gold dust by Devine Color which I got from Target. It’s like adding glitter to your paint so it makes the walls sparkle when the light hits it.
Edlynn- I customized the beds myself. A friend of mine has a business selling vinyl decals so I told her what I wanted and she cut them for me using her cutting machine, so they’re like a giant sticker. Her business name is Mary B Creates on Facebook if you want to use her :)
bonnie
Are these twins or toddler beds? :) love it!
Samantha
Hi! Curious what size in diameter you used for the paper lanterns? Do you know approximately how many you used of them and the Pom Pom tissue?
Michelle
I love your dress up area, and dresser drawer for it. Where did you get the hangers that say dress up?
Michelle
What are the dimensions of the dress up drawer and where did you find the legs for it?
JaeForsythe
Bonnie- the beds are toddler beds using a standard size crib mattress.
Samantha- I used a variety of sizes of lanterns and poms starting at 12″ and going up to 16″ I believe. I don’t recall how many I used, I just kept filling in until it looked full.
Michelle- If you look in the vendor section of my post it has all vendors I used and where I got the products. The hangars are listed there and were found on etsy. I don’t have the dimensions of the dress up drawer. It was just a drawer I pulled from an old dresser so any drawer would work. The legs were from IKEA.
Sam
Adorable!! Where is the bedding from?? We are moving next week and I’m so excited to finally set up my daughters room!
CSIRY
Where is that chair from ?
JaeForsythe
Sam- the basic white comforter and pillowcases are from Ikea. The mermaid blankets and sheets were custom made by my mom.
Csiry- The purple chair was found at Home Goods
Julia
Wow absolutely amazing ! I’m redoing my daughters room right now, fairy garden theme with confetti paint feather butterflies, same gold butterfly knobs you have used got the RH gold canopy – our styles are very, very similar I only hope mine turns out half as well as yours did – just stunning! I have to ask where did you find the gold mirror ? I have looked and looked like crazy but all the pottery barn and such mirrors are out of my price range
flori
Hi, Bonnie like all the other people who have viewed the room it came out really beautiful… whimsical, magical, super special, and memorable everything a little girl’s room should be! I have a silly question where do I locate the vendor section for your post that lists all of the retailers/ resources you used. Thanks!
Brenda
Totally love this! Where did imu get the round white globe with the stars?! Nightlight?
JaeForsythe
Julia- the larger mirror used for dress up was found at Hobby Lobby and I had to paint it the more brighter gold color. It was a dull gold when I bought it. The smaller mirror used for the vanity was found at a thrift store. When I was searching for the mirrors there were quite a few at the Land Of Nod I found that I loved, so there’s another option if you havent checked there.
Flori- if you scroll to the top of the page on the right hand side it says sources and gives you a list of vendors I used.
Brenda- The nightlight is from Target in their new pillowfort collection. :)
Flori
Hi Jae, my apologies for the name mix-up earlier. Is the shelf w/ butterfly hooks (holding the picture smile, sparkle & shine) a DIY? Or is this shelf something you purchased? Thanks again.
Angel
Gorgeous room! I love all the little touches and it’s clear you thought out every detail. :) I’m upgrading my two daughter’s room as well and have been hunting all over for sheets. I looked at your vendor section on the site, but can’t seem to find the info on the sheets. Where are the sheet from? Thanks for sharing your beautiful work!
JaeForsythe
Flori- The shelf was just one I had picked up from some random place. I replaced the old knobs with the butterfly ones that I got from Hobby Lobby and painted them gold.
Angel- I couldn’t find what I wanted so I had to have it made. The design for the sheets was custom made for me by an artist on Spoonflower to coordinate with the fabric for their comforter. I ordered the fabric and had my mom sew the sheets and bedding. I’m sure she could remake the sheets to sell if you were interested. You can email me at sweetjellyparties@outlook.com
Anastassia
Do you do the tissue paper flowers yourself? I need to learn how to do these!!
Cinthya
I clicked on the vendor tab & it’s not taking me to anything do you have a direct link you can send me or something so I can view this such a beautiful bedroom my girls will be having their own soon & it’s pretty big & this room is very inspiring ! Thanks so much.
JaeForsythe
Anastassia- The flowers are a Martha Stewart kit but yes I had to assemble them.
Cinthya- The vendors are listed in the upper right corner. You should be able to click on their names. What vendor are you interested in?
Karisa
Beautiful! Where did you get the mirrors, basket you have the books in, and the princess hooks? Such wonderful ideas!
Angela Berger
Did you paint the names on the beds yourself? How did you do it? I absolutely love this room!
Caroline
I want to make my toddlers room exactly like this. Please email me where can find everything. If some of it is diy I will do it.
Jodie
Hello! Can you please let me know what size iron brackets you got from hobby lobby? I found them, but there are a few different sizes. Thanks!
Norma
What a beautiful room! Absolutely love this. May I ask what color and brand of paint you used?
JaeForsythe
Karisa- The larger mirror and princess hook I got from Hobby Lobby, the smaller one I found at a thrift store. The wire basket came from Michaels.
Angela- The names on the bed are vinyl stickers. They were cut using a Cricut machine but lots of people on Etsy sell name decals.
Caroline- If you read back through the comments you can see where I picked up alot of the items and some of the DIY projects. There is also a list of places I picked things up from in the upper right corner under vendors.
Jodie- The brackets are the 8×8 sized ones.
Norma- The paint in moonlight mauve by Behr picked up from Home Depot and I added in some glitter packs to make it sparkle. Those I found at Target and used 2 glitter packs for every gallon.
Blanca
Omgoodness I love this! Where did you get the “night stand” between the beds?!
Bonnie
I was wondering wear you found your fairy door accessories?
Cierra
I looove this so much! I’ve been trying to make the pillow on shutterfly for a while now but it always tells me my resolution is too low. So upset because I told my daughter I would get her one similar. I wish you could just sell them! Everything about this is absolutely beautiful you did a great job!
Jodie Nunez
Hi! Happy New Year!
Where did you get the frames from? I don’t see them listed in the vendors section.
Thanks!
Megan
What were the dimensions for the shelves? Doing my daughters room as close as possible to this, I’m so in love with it! Also what gold paint did you use to repaint the dress up mirror and all the knobs?
JaeForsythe
Blanca- The night stand is from Hobby Lobby. It was in their summer clearance section and started out a lime green. I sprayed it gold. :)
Bonnie- There is a shop on etsy that i like for my fairy items. Its called The Little Hedgerow. I got some from there and the others at Michaels.
Cierra- Thank you so much. You can email justalittlesparkle@yahoo.com and she will sell you the pillow images in a high enough resolution. :)
Jodie- The frames are from Hobby Lobby. The white ones I had to paint white because they didn’t offer them in that color.
Megan- The paint I use is the gold metallic by Rustoleum. There is a picture of a photo frame on the front I believe. The shelf dimensions are 4 feet long by 9 inches deep. The vanity shelf is 26″ long by 11 deep. The shoe shelf is 20″ long by 8.5′ deep.
Megan
Thank you so much! Was it the spray paint or the actual paint you use a paintbrush with? And where did you buy the shelves? Can’t seem to find any with that sizing.
JaeForsythe
Megan- I use the spray paint. For the shelves i bought a long piece of wood from home depot and cut them to the size that I needed to fit my space. Your space is different so you might need different lengths. If you arent able to cut them yourself then you could ask an associate at home depot to cut them for you. I had to paint them white afterwards which i used the Rustoleum white spray paint for that. Good luck!
Brettney
hi what’s the name of colour paint of the walls? And do you paint the whole room with that colour? Or only part of the wall?
Your daughters room is beautiful!
Megan
Thanks for all your responses! Helped me out so much. I have tried messaging the Mary B Creates, both profiles that came up and wasn’t able to get ahold of her to make a decal for me. If you can get ahold of her, please email me wlovemeganandayla@gmail.com
JaeForsythe
Brettney- The paint is moonlight mauve by behr. I used it on all 4 walls.
Megan- I just emailed you back. It was in my spam folder which is why it took so long. Sorry about that.
Samantha Conner
Where did you get the butterflies for the windows and reading nook net?
Barbara
Do you know the maker of the chair by any chance?
JaeForsythe
Samantha- I made the butterflies by using my paper punch and leftover scrap booking paper. Then just strung them up on fishing line with some beads.
Barbara- I don’t know the maker of the chair unfortunately. There isn’t a tag anywhere on it. I found it at Home Goods on clearance a while back. :(
Whitney
Did you just use basic scrap book paper for the gold stars? How did you attach them to the fishing line?
JaeForsythe
Whitney- Michaels sells in their sticker aisle some chip board stars that have a sticky back. They come in a pack of 20. I purchased those and punched a hole in the top and then stuck two of them together.
Steysi
Where did you get their canvas from ??
Nely Atilano
Hi,
How well and comfortable does your 4 year old daughter fit into the toddler bed? I keep debating if to transition my 3 year old to a twin bed or keep her in a toddler bed?
JaeForsythe
Steysi- The canvases are from Shutterfly. In the upper right corner is a list of vendors used and they are listed which will take you to their site. :)
Nely- Both my daughters are still in their toddler beds. The older one who is now 5 is still currently in that bed. She is just now getting to the point where we are looking at a twin bed for the near future. I’m thinking later this year around November when she turns 6 we will need to upgrade to a twin. :)
Megan

Kristine- The paint is called Moonlight Mauve by Behr

Hi,
I love this, I have begun my transformation of my 3 year old daughters room, thank you. Can you tell me how you installed the queen crown knobs to the wall, and the butterfly knobs to the shelf? I also am wondering if you made those giant colorful tissue paper daisies on the wall or if you purchased them. I created the cloud above her bed, but I chose to make my own tissue poms, so if you have a good method for those flowers I would love to here it.
Thank you,
Christy
Kara
