Description
What better way to celebrate our sweet Arden's 1st birthday than with a vintage tea party? This party was truly a labor of love…my mom helped me scour antique stores for tea cups, cake platters, etc. and I spent many nap times and late nights crafting with doilies and lace. In the end, it was a perfect day for our precious girl!
Design Inspiration
After choosing a tea party theme, I drew inspiration from parties by On To Baby and Jenna Rae Cakes.
Decorating Style
Vintage, shabby chic, feminine & sweet.
Project Details
- Invitations by HauteChocolateFavors
- Tassel garland by The Flair Exchange
- Custom tea party dress by Ruby & Sue
- Gold lace crown by The Blue Spruce Co.
Favorite Items
One of my favorite items from the party was the monthly doily banner…it was so neat to see how much Arden had changed from month to month. From a teeny tiny newborn to a sweet & chubby toddler!
I also loved the classic Little Golden Books that we gave to Arden's friends as party favors.
Advice
My advice would be to have fun and go over the top if you want to--but don't drive yourself crazy! I truly enjoyed planning the details or this party, but all that mattered in the end was that Arden was surrounded by love on her big day.

This is a lovely party. Lots of beautiful details but you haven't lost the hand-made/home-made touch that makes a party special instead of over the top. Nice!

Such beautiful teacups. Is that teacup cake stand a DIY project?

Sure is! I just glued it all together with a hot glue gun. If you do it, you might want to hide tissue paper in between the two tea cups…it's easier to make level that way. Hope that helps!
