Description
A nursery for a boy (but also suitable for a girl) in soothing tones of blue and green using a mix of woods and vintage/new items.
Design Inspiration
The cribskirt colors, which you cannot even see until the mattress is lowered! I loved the blue skirt with the green and white stripes, and felt like it was the perfect palette for the room. The elephants (not a theme per se) just kind of made their way into the room!
Decorating Style
Vintage, shabby chic, slightly romantic
Project Details
Paint: Benjamin Moore Aura in Calming Aloe
Art: Etsy, eeboo
Bedding: Pottery Barn Kids
Favorite Items
The elephant lamp (got it for a steal!), the vintage globe (still has the USSR on it!), the glider and the etsy artwork
Advice
Use the PN galleries for help! I got a lot of ideas from here. Also, ebay and etsy are your best friends. I got the PBK bumper and the rug, as well as the green lamp from ebay for a fraction of the price, and the etsy artwork was very affordable. Also, don't be afraid to repurpose. The crib and changing table were my daughter's and the white dresser was pretty banged up, but improved dramatically with new knobs.

I agree with you that you should not be afraid to repurpose. There are a lot of things that may be used in ways that we haven't even imagined, yet it looks great. This room, by the way, is proof of that!

DEJ: The print is from etsy, Le Papier Studio. I had her custom do a little boy with a baseball bat print because my husband insisted on SOMETHING sports themed ;)
ekunkel: THanks, the glider is from Buy Buy Baby, it is by Best Chair, I believe.

Lovely and inspired. I love that elephant lamp too :) I sure wish I could find something like that in the yard sales that we have around here!

I love the color combination, what kind of glider chair is that?

I LOVE the name print above the crib and have been searching for it for my own Jack's nursery. Do you remember where you found it?
