Description
This is Zechariah's simple gray and white nursery! I wanted something clean and simple for a little boy with a few splashes of red.
Design Inspiration
My inspiration came from seeing a few striped rooms, and I love the color gray with white and red!
Decorating Style
Simple, DIY, clean.
Project Details
Stripes on the wall are fairly easy but it does take time. My wonderful husband marked the lines by measuring and using a chalk line. Then we taped the lines before we painted. For the banner I used basic poster board, red and gray markers and twine. I cut the poster board by hand into triangles and colored the stripes in. I bought two wooden letters at Babies R Us and wrote out the rest of his name in marker on poster board! (can you tell how much I use poster board :) For the Bible verse I decided to write the verse out myself instead of buying a vinyl wall art Bible verse. I used a gray marker to match the wall paint. The navy blue curtains were bought from Target and the hold backs are from Bed Bath and Beyond.
Favorite Items
I love the stripes, home made scripture art and banner. The stripes give the room such a modern flair and the scripture captures our family's heart!
Advice
Expect everything to take time! Painting stripes on a wall is more time consuming than it looks! And make sure to factor in time to allow the paint smell to fade.
Almost everything in the room was DIY and it was so fun and easy to make. Don't be afraid to try new crafts and projects and make them your own! So much better than buying it in the store. (and cheaper too!)

Clean, classic, elegant and stylish! I love the simplicity, too. And there's still so much room for more decorative items.

Beautiful room! I think the combination of grey, white, the glossy wood finish and the little pops of red is just lovely.
