Favorite Items
The light up marquee sign was such a fun touch to the party. It was also a great photo prop for our daughter's first birthday photos. The chalkboard is another favorite item and was something I saw on Pinterest. Because I have awful handwriting, the chalkboard took me the longest to make.
Advice
Comb through sites like Project Nursery and Pinterest for ideas to make your own. Choose an item that inspires you and use that as your stepping stone to plan the party. You don't necessarily have to have a thematic party to have a cohesive look to the design palette.
