Pink Paradiso

Description

Bold and bright colors bring energetic life to this nursery. We started with a blank slate and since this is the family's first girl, decided to go for a pink and preppy look.

Design Inspiration

The initial inspiration for the design of the room came from the bedding which my client purchased as soon as she found out that she was having a girl.  It is a damask pattern bright fuchsia pink with green apple accents.

Decorating Style

This client has classic style but loves color.  The style of the home is mediterranean hence the existing exposed beams and dark wood shutters.

Project Details

Favorite Items

My favorite item is the custom built bookcase and window seat with the decorative pillows and the wallpapered bookcase. The built ins truly finish off the space and the wallpaper makes it more juvenile and adds visual interest.

Advice

Don't be afraid of bold color, it works especially well in very small spaces or spaces with tall ceilings and lots of light.
