Description
We wanted a classic and sweet pink nursery for our daughter.
Design Inspiration
I spent a lot of time browsing Pinterest, Project Nursery, Serena & Lily's nursery design book and catalogs (I could live in one of their catalogs), and blogs.
Project Details
I originally planned on reusing the Blake bedding by Serena and Lily that was in our son's nursery and doing a soft blue and white nursery for our little girl. However, our son was excited to be a big brother and thought his little sister needed a pink nursery. I saw the BlaBla bird mobile (we love all things BlaBla at our house!) and decided it would be fun to go all out girly.
Besides finding the time to actually put the room together, one of the hardest parts was trying to limit what we put in the room because I found so much that I loved. There are so many beautiful nurseries and ideas out there. I tried to incorporate pieces we already had, including things that belonged to my husband or me as children. For example, the Peter Rabbit books were in our nurseries, and I wore some of the baby dresses I've hung up on the shelf (they rotate depending upon her size). I also had fun finding original art on Etsy, and I used black and white family photos around the room.

I lucked out and found the curtains at Anthropolgie. They are the ‘Speckled Bloom’ curtains.
What is the curtain fabric?
I used the 21 3/4 ledges from Ikea. I put the ledges in the area between my daughter’s closet and the end of the wall, so I didn’t have enough space for the longer ones. My husband said that they were very easy to install, and my daughter loves being able to reach the books on the lower shelves. We have been very happy with how they look and have held up.
which size picture ledges did u get?
Thanks!
I’m a lover of almost any pink and green combination but the way you used this winning color combo here is just gorgeous!
