Oliver’s Nursery

Description

We wanted to create a personal and vibrant nursery that our little boy can grow with. We started with fairly neutral walls in two shades of yellow, then painted the stripes on the wall for his name in blue. Gradually we added the furniture and I made a lot of the things you can see - bunting, lamp & light shades, owls, polka dot trim on the curtain tie backs and matching ribbon for the central heart. We had a lot of fun!

Design Inspiration

I got a lot of ideas on Pinterest, which in many cases led back to here [Project Nursery]. This is why I decided to share the finished nursery!

Decorating Style

Homemade, DIY, contemporary, colourful, vibrant.

Project Details

When sourcing items for our nursery, I really struggled to match colours and find exactly what I was looking for. This is why I decided to make a lot of things myself with the help of a very crafty friend. We probably saved a LOT of money hand-making things as well, so if you can DIY, it's worth it!

Favorite Items

I love the stripes with his name on and the wall decal.

Advice

Don't be afraid to try making something yourself - my husband was very sceptical but very impressed with the end result!

Such a pretty nursery. I like the country-style touches very much.
