I searched high and low for nursery inspiration that “felt” like Nadia, and came up short! So I started with gender neutral ideas, and tried to figure out ways to add the right amount of femininity that I could translate to nursery decor. Once I stumbled across the rug, I knew immediately that mauve was the way to go. Just like her name, Nadia, mauve is not given enough credit! With some pops of gold, and neutral creams, the nursery came to life. My husband built to closet from scratch to save money, which allowed me to splurge on some of the more expensive items while staying under our small budget. The closet build also saved us a LOT of space and helped minimize a lot of clutter we would have otherwise had. We live in an area without a lot of options, so I was stuck doing most of my shopping online, which meant a lot of things got sent back because they didn’t match; but luckily I started early enough to give myself time to send something back if I didn’t like it! If your’e stuck, I recommend finding one or two pieces that you LOVE and centering your nursery around that. Mood boards are a must! I started off with a minimalist mindset, knowing that I can always add more decor if it feels right– but for the time being, the space is perfect for our rainbow baby!

Hi there! Came across this gorgeous nursery on Pinterest, and I have been searching high and low for the rug, but the link seems to be a different rug than the one pictured! I am desperate to find it! Do you remember if it had another name or was from a different store?

So pretty, I love the way these colors work together! What color curtains did you choose? Are they dusty rose or lavender?
