Description
A modern nursery that my son can grow into.
Design Inspiration
I always knew I didn't want a "baby" theme for my son's nursery so when I came across the artwork, I instantly fell in love with it. It is handwoven from recycled newspapers and painted canvases. The colors and scale were perfect and everything just fell into place after that.
Decorating Style
I like mixing different styles. I like my spaces to be functional. I think window treatments can make a room.

Advice
Make sure your space doesn't just look great but it is functional too. Don't be afraid to use color! Select pieces that your baby can grow into.
Love the turquoise walls and pops of orange!
I’m doing the same color scheme for my son’s nursery. I love how yours turned out! Where did you get the table lamp?
As I commented on FB, so cute it makes my knees itch! I have actually been worried about having a boy, lol, for fear the decorating options are too drab & uninspiring! Not anymore- this is fab and really shows how creative you can still be, even w/a boy theme (sans the ribbons & frills I so love! :). Candy
Jen,
Hi Jen!
Thank you! I purchased the lamp from HomeGoods. ;)

meesh,
Thank you! I love HomeGoods!
This room is AMAZING! Even my Fiance said, “That is cool!” and what man gets excited about a nursery?
It’s so fun and modern and I agree with not favoring “baby” type spaces. And the rug is to DIE for.
Where did you get the little elephant on the dresser and the curtains?
Oh sorry, just saw they’re home made! Great job!
Where did you get the letters for the monogram above the changing table?
Lauren,
Hi Lauren!
Here is the website for the letters.

Kelly,
Hi Kelly,
The elephant was a gift from a good friend that found my wedding pattern fabric and had the elephant made. I know that she used someone on Etsy.

LOVE your room-you’ve got great style!
Hi,
I am looking at purchasing the same furniture you did from the Young America collection. What color combination is yours? (color of paint/wood). Did you custom select the colors or pick a preselected color that they offered?
Rachel
Rachel,
Hi Rachel!
The color combinations are starlight with espresso accent. I chose from the colors they offered. I hope this helps!

I am a big fan of turquoise! That artwork above the crib looks really interesting. What’s it made of? I can’t quite figure it out.
Tasha Cune,
Hi Tasha!
The artwork is handwoven from recycled newspapers and painted canvases. It definitely is a conversation piece!

LOVE it! I pinned it on board for my customers to get inspiration from.
