I really wanted to create a bright space for my baby boy, accented with masculine industrial and slightly rustic touches. Starting with a whitewashed wood wall, I was easily able to bring in subtle shades of blue and turquoise that contrasted beautifully with the mixed metals in the space.

I particularly like how this room turned out because it’s not overly “babyish” – it’s a space that will easily grow with my son. All we will have to do is swap out some of the artwork and the crib and he will have a stylish big boy room!

I think this space will appeal to many different design styles – rustic, farmhouse, industrial, contemporary and transitional – as it has all of these elements rolled into one cohesive space. It’s honestly my favorite room in the house!

Can you tell me where you got the painting with the bear fishing on the moon? Your nursery is awesome. I already ordered the mobile. Thanks!
