After struggling with infertility for 2 years and getting pregnant on our own with twins, it was my dream to finally create the nursery I’ve always envisioned. My husband and I are Disney lovers, and we long for the day we can bring our babies to Disney World for their first adventure! So it was a no brainer that Disney would be incorporated into the nursery, though I didn’t want it to “scream” Mickey Mouse when you walked into the room.

I feel like it’s easiest to start a nursery by choosing your decor (photos on the wall, etc). Once your theme/style is chosen, the rest just somehow comes together! The moment we came across these beautiful watercolor prints on Etsy, I knew these would be the perfect backbone to our nursery. The pallet wall was something we added to give the room a modern neutral feel, and we were so pleased with how well it pulled everything together. Guys, accent walls are key! We also made certain to pick a paint color that can grow with the boys, and not necessary need to be changed out the second their nursery evolves into a toddler room.

Sticking with the neutral gray/blue/white color scheme, we were able to pick out timeless pieces of furniture that blended well with the look we envisioned.

It’s been such a joy planning the room our two little guys will spend their first years of life in, and the memories my husband and I have made while putting it all together is something we’ll remember forever! Not every nursery has to be over the top. Just make it reflect your style and personality, and there’s no doubt you’ll end up with a perfect room for your little one (or two!).

I saw those same prints on Etsy, and am in love, too! It’s great to see them in use so well.
