Description
We wanted a calming and cheery elephant nursery for our first daughter. We knew we wanted green walls, regardless of gender and ended up with a great color called Van Allen Green. Then we accented with pinks and purples once we found out the gender of our baby (a girl).
Design Inspiration
We were inspired by elephants and homemade projects. A lot of the items from our nursery are from Etsy, local farmers markets, or we refinished them ourselves. We wanted our nursery to be filled with personal touches for our daughter.

Advice
We worked slowly through the nursery, adding pieces a bit at a time. We did the major furniture first (a few months before the baby was due so we could both be a part of the process). Then we added personal touches one by one as the room came together. We spent a lot of time on Pinterest and Etsy looking for inspiration and we are so pleased with the outcome.
