Mint green nursery

Description

I used a mint green and light yellow color palette and kept with a hot air balloon / clouds theme. The nursery was designed for my first son and I wanted to stay away from blue, use light, cool colors and make it an enjoyable space.

Design Inspiration

The cool subtle colors.

Decorating Style

I'd say classic with a touch of whimsy. I like pastel colors.

Project Details

I enjoyed designing and creating this nursery. I knew I wanted to stay away from the traditional blue nursery for a boy and wanted to do pastel colors. I bought the crib mobile and the beautiful pastel colored star-shaped knobs from etsy. I made the bunting, some of the artwork and the felt clouds and raindrops myself. The linen was from pottery barn as well as the furniture. The curtains have one light green and one light yellow side so when rolled up you see both colors. I got these custom made.  Some of the artwork was bought from 'Mama's and Papa's'.

One main wall was painted with in stripes while the other has a polka dot wall paper.

Favorite Items

I love the polka dot wallpaper and I think the bunting really ties the whole room together.
