Shop Suggestions
I’m all about getting the biggest bang for your buck so I totally understood when mom Joanna shared her vision to create a nursery with a some longevity past the baby stage. A modern yet fun space for her baby girl, Marin, just born this past October that could last through her toddler years. She picked out a sophisticated color palette of raspberry and lime and set off to find all the pieces to fill the dream nursery for her daughter. We knew it would turn out stylish since Joanna has an Etsy shop filled with beautiful pillows for the home.

I love it! Everything! You did a wonderful job and I’m sure your daughter will be able to look back and appreciate how awesome her first room was and how much thought and time and love you put into it. I would love to know where you got your fabric for the bumper; it’s absolutely perfect for a project I’m starting.

Gorgeous! The monogram pillow caught my eye, of course! I stopped by her Etsy shop, and her pillows are beautiful, especially the hydrangea one! Inspiration for one of the rooms in my new house, perhaps?! Fabulous!

Can you tell me more about your closet system from Ikea? I have the same size closet that I am looking to set up a unit for and I like yours. What pieces did you get?
Thanks!

I think this room is just spectacular and will truly grow with this lucky little girl. I especially love the way the decal really pops off the wall with the addition of those Umber flowers. So cute!

Hi Soumya,
The Ikea pieces are closet pieces are from the PAX and KOMPLEMENT series. Every closet is a little different depending on the size, but you can customize it to your size with those pieces. I hope this helps!

Hi Steph,
I made the mobile of apples, pears and strawberrys from patterns that I got from http://www.heatherbailey.com. The pattern is for pin cushions, so I just needed to reduce the pattern on the copy machine to get the size I needed.

Love the room! How hard was it to apply the tree decal? I want to do the same thing but not sure if mine will look that good!

The tree decal comes in three pieces so it makes it a little easier to manage. The key is to have a smooth wall that you are applying it to. This may mean that you need to “float the wall” which means remove the texture. If you already have a smooth wall you are in business. The blossoms come separate so you can put them where ever you want. I didn’t use all of the ones they gave me, I thought they gave me too many.

Question: Do the crib and dresser appear to have the same finish since they are from different companies? Do they appear glossy or matte? Thank you!
Lauren
Did you have to secure the Hemnes dresser to the wall as recommended on the Ikea website?
