Description
After finding out that I was pregnant with a Girl, it didn't take long before jumping right into decorating her nursery. I wanted to create a space that could grow with her, as well as would be calming, feminine and simplistic, all done on a very small budget.
Living in military housing, we were not able to paint any of the walls, so adding personality and character to a very blank slate of a room with white walls was a challenge. I knew that I wanted to go with a shabby chic feel, so my first step was to find a crib and furniture to set the mood for the base of the design.
Design Inspiration
When designing my daughter's nursery, I wanted a design that would grow with her and also incorporated special family vintage items heirlooms into the decor, all while sticking to a budget!

Jennifer-
The bedding is discontinued, but I found it on Varage Sale in my area (but no bumper). Then I was able to find the bumper on Craigslist in a different state. I contacted the seller and they were willing to mail it to me! Search hard and someone somewhere will be selling it. :)
Jennifer Ciani- what color blue did you use to paint the armoir? I'm painting a dresser to match the bedding and looks like you nailed it! Thanks!! Such a beautiful nursery!!

Just found this site. I LOVE everything about your nursery. I have searched Target.com for the bedding, but can't seem to find it. I have found shabby chic in full size, but not crib size. Do you know if they have discontinued it? Is it the shabby chic brand? Thanks!
