Mad for Maddie’s Nursery

Description

When we found out we were having a girl, I began shopping online for an inspiration. I thought a good starting point would be her bedding. I found a set I loved, but couldn't afford (and I wasn't so impressed with the quality of the samples), so I began searching for a set with similar colors. I found the Sparrow collection from Lolli Living, and just started to mix and match from there. Thanks to our parents, I was able to get a couple splurge items, but bargain hunted for the rest. The room we chose to become the nursery was once my craftroom, hence the chalkboard wall. One of our splurge items was the Anthropologie watercolor peony wallpaper. At $150 a roll, I got creative and just ran the one roll across the top of the three white walls and added beadboard wainscoting beneath. I was left with less than a foot of paper left, and just carried it in my purse to match up anything I saw and liked that I could incorporate into the nursery somehow.  I love the final product and am proud how well the nursery turned out without having to spend a fortune.
