Description
We took our time planning and organizing our first baby girl's nursery. Luckily I knew that I wanted to incorporate aqua's and blues with splashes of pink. Then I came across the Lovey Dovey crib bedding from Carousel Bedding and everything sort of came together naturally. A light, airy and girly space that is welcoming and cozy and whose elements could potentially grow with our little girl Chiara.
Design Inspiration
This nursery was designed around the inspiration of Carousel Designs Lovey Dovey Crib Bedding. The fabric's patterns inspired me to sew the blackout curtains myself and from there I was inspired to also create the mobile, several baby receiving blankets and am still working on other projects. I really wanted to personalize the space for Chiara so that she can potentially grow with the space.
Decorating Style
Feminine without a heavy pink hand, using prints and textures with a neutral background to ground the space.

Advice
The biggest piece of advice I can give to someone creating a nursery space for their little one is to start early and take your time organizing and researching and builiding. You'd be surprised how many things you can do yourself whilst in your energetic second trimester without feeling anxious or overworked. Also, there are lots of fantastic places online to get inspiration and motivation to DIY a bit and personalize the space with your own touch. : )
