Design Inspiration
When you have a girl, you have a pair of Mary Janes. An iconic shoe that is timeless and brings out the little lady in all girls. The shoes were my inspiration and the colors came into play with wanting to keep it girly but add a little sophistication as well. I wanted to use black and pink but not too much of either color.
Decorating Style
I like simple style. I don't like design that is too busy or fussy. I think you can say a lot with a little.
Project Details
I designed all the printables myself which was my first step after deciding on a theme. I purchased a few yards of a black and white polka dot fabric to use as a table cover. The backdrop was actually a last minute idea. I was pretty stumped as to what to do for the backdrop and at the last minute, I purchased some black photo mattes and printed out letters for her name and attached pink bows to them.
The cookies came from A Dozen Eggs Bake Shoppe out of Vermont. They are fabulous! I email them the invitation design and some ideas of what I would like and they do the rest. I love how they just sum up the whole design concept and they are yummy as well!
Favorite Items
I love the small table sign with the poem I wrote for my daughter. It speaks to her and I think it speaks about a lot of little girls.
