Juliet’s Blush and Blue Nursery

Designing June’s nursery was one of my favorite projects of all time. I will say I’m not sure this room is exactly “on trend” but I’m ok with it as it reminds me of June’s room and i just adore these rooms and how they fit with the rest of our house. Again, there’s no real “theme”, but I will say my starting point for this room with the pretty coral and blush flower painting I found at “At home: and it all snowballed from there. The stenciled trellis walls were a labor of love but I love the pattern and texture they provide against the white crib, picture frames and shelves. Art for above the crib was very challenging this time around. I probably changed around this art wall AT LEAST 7 different times. But I love the final product and the garden-like bouquet of paper flowers made using templates purchased from Etsy. My most FAVORITE piece in this room is the Ikea dresser my husband custom painted for e that fits PERFECTLY in this room. Since Ikea furniture comes in pieces, it was easy to individually paint each piece precisely and then fit it all together perfectly.  Just like June’s room, I’m hoping this room grows with her :)
