Baby James Nevins’s Nest

Description

I wanted to create a playful and clean nursery for my little man. I love a clean and simple design with pops of color. I didn't want it to scream baby boy but rather a more simple design.

Design Inspiration

I love prints! So when I found the print for the bed skirt and changing table I pretty much just went from there. Gathering pieces from the print!

Decorating Style

I love white, white, white. But for the baby's room, we wanted to keep with a white theme but add more pops of color than rest of the house. We love white walls and adding color with books, pillows, art, antiques.... We love mixing modern with traditional.

Favorite Items

The love seat! Its so comfy! And I love that I can still nurse and be cozy without a traditional rocker. Its great too because I can use it again if I have a girl next. In fact I love that the nursery can be unisex. And I love his chalkboard. I have so much fun updating it every month!

Advice

Honestly, just have fun! No matter what you design, the baby will love it! I had fun gathering pieces throughout my pregnancy from all sorts of stores. Don't feel tied down to just baby stores. Not everything has to be traditional. Also, getting help from friends and family! I had so much fun with my girlfriends painting the stripes on the wall!
