Description
This Disneyland nursery was a labor of love! Due to my love of crafts and a set budget, almost everything in the room was either upcycled or handmade by me. By the end of the day, I got away with all furniture (minus the crib, which was a gift) and the decor for $250.
Design Inspiration
Disneyland! It's one of my husband and I's favorite places and it's the last trip we went on before we found out we were expecting. I love how Disneyland is gender neutral and drew inspiration from the bright colors and whimsy that Disneyland is famous for.
Project Details
When it comes to a DIY nursery, keep your eyes and mind open to the possibilities! You never know where or when you are going to find a piece that needs a little face lift and will be perfect for your vision.
Favorite Items
My favorite item is not a single thing, but the entire gallery wall. I had such fun selecting what would be hung and displayed.
Advice
Know at least two big things that you want for your space. I knew I wanted colorful and calm. To me, I achieved this through one blue accent wall and the mixture of muted bright colors. Knowing the general look you want to acheive will help everything else fall into place.
