Description
My mom is a wedding planner, and I assist her. Her vendors would literally do anything for her, which is one of the reasons this shower was so spectacular. They went above and beyond... the pictures were amazing, and we had a videographer (check the video out in the photo gallery). So amazing! My husband's aunts and cousins, along with my mom, mother-in-law and sister-in-law went above and beyond with every detail. They provided brunch, mimosas, a juice bar, cake, and amazing bath sugar scrub for favors. Everything from the linens to the doily place cards made it so personal and special. They created an ABC book where each guest took a letter and designed a page.
Design Inspiration
Inspiration started with a vintage pram and developed into a modern/vintage theme mixing elements of the modern chevron with the vintage props: hankies, bassinet, old toys, and my love of milk glass and vintage pieces. Boojum Tree is one of my favorite wedding venues when we're working, and the style of the greenhouse went perfectly with the theme.

Favorite Items
I was blown away by the beauty of my shower. How could I ever choose a favorite thing? The centerpieces? The chandeliers? I also loved the favors, the milk glass centerpieces, the doily place cards and the special seating area they provided. I also loved the guest-created ABC book.
Advice
Find items for inspiration- they used the pram to inspire them for the vintage feel and the nursery for the modern elements. The nursery is mist blue, butter yellow and taupe with taupe chevron accents. They based the linens, napkins, etc. off of that color scheme. A feasting table draws everyone together instead of having individual round tables. It worked great for conversation and a family feel. The florist collected milk glass for us. She was happy to do it and was able to use it for future events.
So beautiful! I love those hanging glass vases and the flowers, the centerpieces, vintage display, the pram, the food, and everything else. The hankies are just beautiful, too.
Love the vintage touches!
