When I found out my little family was going to be adding a new bundle of joy the planning instantly began on the nursery. I realized along my journey I didn't have a theme but more of what inspired me. When I imagine what type of person Flynn will be I think of a little boy that is bright eyed, happy, and curious of this new world. The pieces in his room all came together, with the help of my handy and adorable husband, to create a fun and warm nursery for Flynn.
Crib was a gift from my mom, a Jenny Lind purchased off of Amazon.
Dresser was a gift from my MIL, Delta dresser purchased off Amazon.
Rocking chair was a refinished piece that my in-laws handed down to Flynn.
Curtains purchased from TJ Maxx. Crib Sheet, Minky changing pad cover, monogrammed decal above the crib, and banner off my favorite site, Etsy.
My creative friend made the chalkboard for Flynn's shower.
My husband created the bookshelves for the nursery using a DIY blog he found as a guide.
Paper lanterns were purchased off a Chinese lantern site I found online.
My favorite items are the bookshelves, paci holder, and crocheted horse from my mother in law.
My only advice is to not go with a theme but find items that you fall in love with. In the end the nursery will come together and be as wonderful as you desired.
