Description
The majority of decor and furniture in this nursery was made by hand or bought at second hand retail shops and redone. The nursery combines coral, gray, antique white, golds.
Design Inspiration
I fell in love with the first thing I bought for this nursery, the dresser/changing table. My room is centered around this piece (vintage, detailed).
Decorating Style
Vintage, shabby chic
Project Details
The changing table was bought from a resale shop called Junque in the Trunk. The suitcase on the changing table was found and recovered using Modge podge. The coral/vintage dresser was an old piece I found and also Modge podged. The name above the changing table was done using old frames spray painted, cardboard, scrap book paper, and letters from resale shops spray painted. The vintage lamp on the changing table was made! It was bought at a thrift store for $4 and recovered. The large letter E was bought from Junque in the Trunk, an antique resale shop. The coral ladder with blankets hanging was also made and hand painted/distressed. The only items not redone or bought used were the rug (Target.com), the rocking glider chair (Babiesrus.com), and the crib (Amazon.com).
Favorite Items
The changing table's ornate details makes it my favorite item. I also love the ladder used to hang blankets on.
Advice
Resale shops are wonderful and SO cheap!
