Ella’s Nursery

Description

My husband and I converted our downstairs guest bedroom into our nursery as we await our little arrival

Design Inspiration

The design inspiration was based on the first baby gift that we received at our gender reveal party, which was a stuffed elephant

Decorating Style

My decorating style is uncluttered, simple while on a tight budget.

Project Details

The paint in the nursery is Sherwin Williams, Perfectly Grey.

The crib is a Davindi Kalani and was a gift from my parents

The rug, mobile, and bedding are all from Pottery Barn Kids (Taylor), all were gifts from my parents.

The dresser was a gift from my inlaw's and is from Ashley Furniture, but it was from a complete set and not a children's set.

The chair is the one splurge that my husband and I had, it is a special order from Best Home Furniture. It was a custom order.

The elephant hamper is from Home Decorator's.

The curtains are from Lowe's. I made the pillow in the chair and recovered the lamp shade. All of the art on the wall I did from letters from Hobby Lobby.

Favorite Items

My favorite item has to be the elephant hamper and Reed/Barton utensils that my grandmother gave us.

Advice

My advice is take the decorating process one step at a time. Find one piece that you love and build around it. If you don't you may become a bit overwhelmed

Auntie to be

My nephew is using the Pottery Barn elephant collection in the nursery for their baby-to-be. I've been able to find everything except the round elephant rug. Pottery Barn has discontinued it. Any suggestions from your parents as to where to buy it?

Nice, subtle colors. I love the elephant bedding and the round elephant rug!
