Coral, Aqua & Yellow Nursery

Description

This room is for our 2nd daughter and I loved that I was able to put so much time planning and putting together the room.  I worked full time while pregnant with my 1st daughter, but now that I'm a stay at home mom, I have a little more time to DIY :)

Design Inspiration

I really wanted clean and modern for Raelee's nursery.  My older daughter's nursery was much more little girl and traditional for a nursery.  I wanted this room to be different.  I didn't really want a theme, but I loved these colors together and I really like Chevron right now.  I got a lot of my ideas off of Pinterest :)

Decorating Style

For this room, modern and clean.

Project Details

The wooden frames/plaques, wooden letters and the yarn, and the doilies for the mobile were all purchased at Michael's.  They were all painted/put together by me.

The crib sheet and skirt, quilt, and changing pad cover were by iviebaby on Etsy.  She also supplied me with fabric scraps so I used them for the mobile, buntings, and embroidery circles.

The embroidery circles were from Hobby Lobby online since I don't have one locally and my Michael's had a very small collection.

The crib and changing table are by Davinci.  The crib is the Parker 4 in 1 and I believe the changing table is just called Parker.  We bought them for our older daughter from Shopko.com on clearance a couple years ago.

The curtains are from Exclusive Elements on Etsy.

Tissue box cover is from Head to Toe on Etsy.

The yellow bird is a piggy bank and I purchased it from our local Target.  The white shelving and the coral clock were also bought at Target.

The bookshelf, baskets in the bookshelf, lamp, and white picture frames were all purchased at Ikea.

The prints in the frames on the walls above the dresser and changing table were made by my wonderful graphic designer sister, Tanya :)  She has an Etsy shop.

The canvas above the glider was made by my sister, Lea :)

The dresser was mine from when I was a teenager.

The glider we purchased from a local baby boutique before our older daughter was born.  It is a Best Chairs Storytime Series Patoka chair and ottoman.

On the bookshelves:  The two candles I bought years ago and had them in different rooms--the colors worked out so they now are in Raelee's room :)  The plaques, frames with quotes, and the R plaque were made by me (supplies from Michael's).  On the top shelf is one of my favorite childhood books that is falling apart, so I keep it out of toddler hands :)  My husband's baby book is on the bottom along with a book that was given to my older daughter but not very toddler friendly either :)  She doesn't have a high up spot in her room so I'm just keeping it in Raelee's for now.

Dahlia flower hanging is from Bed Buggs on Etsy.

I also got this night light by Star Lights by Amber on Etsy.  It is plugged in by the crib so I didn't get a very good picture of it in the room.

Favorite Items

I love the crib wall--the stripes, her name, the buntings and the embroidery circles with fabric.  I had the idea in my head and I love how it came together.

Very sunny, very clean and very soothing space. I like the natural wood stain of the furniture. This is the type of room that clears the head.
