Chase’s Modern Navy and Lime Green Nursery

Description

This nursery was designed after spending hours and hours looking for nursery decorating ideas on Pinterest. I love the navy and lime green color combination.

Design Inspiration

When I designed this room I knew that I wanted the nursery to center around the birch tree wall decals. I tried to find furniture and wall art that had a unique and fun flair. Lots of thought went into creating this room as I tried to use design elements that could easily be changed if my husband and I were to ever have a baby girl at a later time.

Decorating Style

I love decorating rooms with modern design elements. I tried to create a room that was fun and inviting.

Favorite Items

This is a difficult question because I love so many aspects of this nursery. The birch trees and birds are the focal point of the room and I think they turned out great! I also really like the DIY bird house that hangs near the trees. My DIY nightlight serves as fun, yet functional piece for the room. As far as furniture goes, I'm a huge fan of the crib, which was a splurge for me. The dresser was definitely a lucky find and fit the look I was going for perfectly.

I also love the unique items that my sister (check out her Etsy shop) and mom made for the room. The book sling, crib sheet, pillow on the glider, wall canvases, and curtain ties were all made to match the decor of the room. My brother contributed a handmade skateboard with Chase's name engraved on the front.

Advice

If you're planning to use the same room for a nursery for more than one baby it's in your best interest to design a room with decor that can easily be changed to accommodate either a boy or a girl. Check out the changes that I made for our baby girl. Enjoy the process and have fun!
