Charlee’s Birds and Blooms Nursery

Description

This is Charlee's Birds and Bloom nursery.  Our inspiration started with the picture above her crib from PoshTots.  Many of the items were hand made or ordered from Etsy.

Design Inspiration

Our inspiration started with the picture of birds and flowers that is above her crib. We also loved the changing station from Pottery Barn and the mobile hanging above her bed. We also loved the antique frame that we painted and had the hand painted initial C designed by an etsy designer.

Decorating Style

I like to include the old with the new. The antique frame came from an antique shop that I painted teal.  We loved the ruffled pink curtains that were handmade from a designer on etsy that reminded me of the bedroom I had as a little girl. We added the vases to bring in a more modern look and I painted the bow holder to match the room.

Project Details

The curtains, mobile, bird included in the bird cage and initial inside frame came from designers on etsy.  The frame around the initial came from an antique shop that I hand painted teal. I hand painted the bow holder using a light pink and irridescent paint and white over the more detailed areas. These can be ordered off of my website at Contemporary Designs on etsy. I used the bird cage from my daughter's wedding and added flowers and butterflies from Michaels. The vases were bought from Hobby Lobby and we added flowers. The glass vases were purchased from Pier 1 imports and we added the sea glass.  We also used the manazita branches from my daughters wedding centerpieces and took the idea from the mobile and added the pink glitter to them and found the little birds at Pier 1 Imports and the teal flowers Hobby Lobby. I also used the sashes from my daughters wedding that went around her chairs and tied them around the baskets that were purchased from Lowes.

Favorite Items

Our favorite part of the room is the area over her changing station.
