Description
My husband painted a two-tone gray chevron pattern on the main wall. The crib converts into a toddler bed. The dresser came from Ikea and my husband sanded it down (was birch) and stained it Espresso to match the crib.
Design Inspiration
I really wanted a gender-neutral space that the baby can grow into. I knew I was having a boy but I was tired of seeing blues everywhere for boys. I also like the serenity of grey and and I think that the yellow adds a nice pop of color.
Decorating Style
Modern, clean lines

Favorite Items
The crib is my favorite item, not only because I know what would be sleeping in here soundly (mostly!) every night, but it also because it's such a great, versatile piece.
Advice
Do not skimp on paint! My husband started to run out and watered it down a tad and it made a difference and I ended up going back over it once I bought more. And do not be afraid to put a rug over carpet. I think it softened the room a bit.
I like the modern and modular look. That whale mobile is cute, by the way.
What color is the paint?? I love it.
